From Wolfgang Konetschni, November 2004 Wolfgang.Konetschni @ siemens.com Hello Erwin, yes, the journey was wonderful, the people you had recommended were very nice and helpful. I arrived from Bucharest last Friday at around 7 o'clock in the evening. Unfortunately we were badly organised: my friends from Austria didn't arrive in Arieseni until 3 o'clock in the morning. We then celebrated our reunion until seven in the morning and then left the next day for the Apuseni mountains. But we were quiet and did our very best not to rob our hosts of their well-earned sleep. I left my car there and picked it up four days later - and they wouldn't even let me pay them for it. Instead we left a bag of food, which was left over from our tour. Unfortunately they wouldn't accept wine. It is a pity we could not spend the last night there, but we all had to continue on our travels. I saw several hotels and guesthouses being built in and around Arieseni. I think this is going to present quite a bit of competition for the guestrooms you have to offer, especially since the prices are around EUR 20, if I saw rightly. But I think that camping tourism has potential. Your location is really beautiful, I am sure you can make more even more of it. The area really is magnificent; next year we may do another tour. Best wishes, Wolfgang
