    Things to do and sights to see:



    The area is ideal for walking, either directly from our site, which is situated on both sides of the banks of the murmuring mountain stream for a length of approx. 140 m, and where you are surrounded by unspoilt countryside, an idyllic place to breathe in deeply and switch off. Or you can untertake other tours to experience the beauty of the landscape:

• Visit the Cucurbata Peak
• Trips with a horse-drawn cart to the nearby Varciorog
  and Bucium waterfalls
• Visit the water simphonies of the waterfalls in the
  Crisului Poieni valley: Fantanele (60 m), Hotaran
  (80 m), Carligoi (40 m), Scara de Argint (the silver
  ladder), Valul Miresei, Pajului (8 m), Amazon and
  Bella Vista (50 m)
• Walk to the Groapa Ruginoasa ravine (100 m deep /
  500 m long)
• Fairytale valleys: the Cobles Valley, the Garda-Seaca
  Valley
, the Ordancusa Valley etc.
• Visit the Scarisoara Ice Cave (the largest in Romania
  and the second largest in Europe)
• Visit the sights of the adjoining Padis National Park
  (magnificent rock formations, canyons, karst springs
  and caves
to name just a few)
• Visit the Bears' Cave - Pestera Ursilor de la Chiscau and
  the Meziad Cave (entrance 16 m high / 10 m wide // 5 stories
  high // 4750 m long)
• Visit a farmhouse, and if you are interested you can watch
  bread or cake being baked
• Visit a gypsy smithy
• Visit a wood carver in the mountains (his work is exhibited for sale)
• Cycle tours
• Boat trips and fishing
• Bathing in the Aries river
• Berries and mushrooms pick
• Image hunting
